Building a Bushcraft Shelter
This bushcraft build took me roughly 40 hours of work. I had a vision to incorporate two living trees as supporting beams for the shelter, and accomplished this using cordelette to tie rafter beams to two trees that were a perfect distance apart. For the rest of the structure, I only used deadwood from the surrounding area out of respect for the healthy forest. I’m most excited to see the forest growth take back over and cover the area with more moss and other foliage — adding to the rustic, tucked-away aesthetic.
